Op. Dr. Ali Murat AKKUS was born in 1980. In 1998, he graduated from Bornova Anatolian High School and completed his pre-license education. Following his graduation, he won Ege University Faculty of Medicine in the university exam in the same year and started his medical education. During his undergraduate education, he participated in many surgeries at Ege University Plastic Surgery Clinic due to his interest in plastic surgery. In 2005, he completed his undergraduate education and received the title of medical doctor. In the same year, he passed the Specialization Examination in Medicine and started his Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery residency training at Istanbul Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital. During his residency training, he performed many aesthetic operations, hand surgeries and congenital anomaly repairs.
At the end of his residency years, he received training from Dr. Bahman Guyuron and Dr. Mc Carthy, one of the most important facial and nasal surgeons in the world, during his time in the USA. During the same time, he received training on aesthetic breast surgery from Dr. Paul Smith at the University of South Florida in the USA. After his graduation, he worked as an observer in Op. Dr. Serdar Eren’s clinic and participated in many aesthetic surgeries. He fulfilled his compulsory service obligation at Iğdır State Hospital.
Op. Dr. Ali Murat AKKUS, who researched the most appropriate method for the tip of the nose to remain in the desired shape in the long term while writing his specialty thesis, speaks fluent English and German, and is interested in mountaineering, sportive rock climbing and snowboarding.
